He's awfully cute, eating so quickly. He only takes a small bite of the food himself, then looks back up to Ludger.

"...You, ah, have chocolate on your lip." He says, rather matter-of-factly.

Ludger wipes his mouth with a finger and then licks it clean.

"Better?"

No, much worse. But it does clean off the chocolate. "Better. You ready to go?"

He nods and moves to stand and he has to take a moment to steady himself. Since when had the world decided to shift under his feet ever so slightly?

Ludger sticks close to Julius, just in case he needs to cling to him for support.

Julius sighs and gives him a supporting arm, setting down the cash as he helps Ludger stay standing.

"Didn't I tell you to take it easy?" He chuckles, walking him out.

"I'm fine," he insists but he's more than okay with clinging to Julius no matter the excuse. He nuzzles up against his strong shoulder, staring up at him dreamily as they walk.

"Fine, huh." He mutters, walking him along. It was nice to have such a short commute that he didn't need to drive, but it did make it hard to go out drinking when you walk everywhere. "You're a little bit of a lightweight. Glad it was me there."

"Am not," he protests lightly despite the evidence to the contrary. He, as subtly as his slightly drunk mind allows, let's one of his hands wander to Julius waist. He glances at him expectantly.

He allows him that much, holding his sap of a brother close as is safe to, basically.

"Are too. I would barely feel that much." He chuckles and ruffles his hair. "I'm sure someone will find it cute, somewhere."

"You don't?" He mumbles it, aware that it was an entirely inappropriate question to be asking but he hadn't thought that quick enough to stop himself from saying it altogether.

He isn't sure what to say. Those words are a trap, whether Ludger means them or not.

"...I do." He mutters under his breath, just trying to keep walking.

Ludger smiles at that, and he let's his hand wander further down Julius' waist, to his thigh. Completely subtly, of course.

"I love you," he says, particularly out of nowhere this time. "A lot."

His heart catches in his throat.

"...I love you too." He says softly, gently taking his hand and drawing it back up to his hip. Their house is close enough, he thinks. If a mistake is going to be made... it's best kept there.

Ludger sighs slightly as Julius moves his hand back but he doesn't protest aside from that. He wants Julius so badly, more than normal and that, frankly, terrifies him but it also makes him want to act on it even more. If not now, when would he ever get this chance?

"Julius," he says, "I really mean it," and the words just sort of tumble out on their own now. "I really love you..."

He knows. God, does he know. He unlocks their front door without a word and pulls Ludger inside, slamming it shut.

"Ludger, I know." He says, firmly, cupping his cheeks and looking him in his eyes. "...You know we can't do this. I love you, too. In that way, even. But we cannot."

"If...if you feel the same way, then why not?" He demands and his mind is spinning as he tries to wrap his inebriated mind around all of this. Julius reciprocating his feelings but being unwilling to act on them was somehow crueler than any alternative.

"Because you deserve normal." He laughs, mournfully. "You deserve better than me. Better than my disgusting wants. I want you to be happy, and not... shunned. Not seen as disgusting. I... could never see you as that, so nobody else should either. I... won't let myself taint you."

How could Julius be so cruel as to deny him this, when he feels the same, too. Even with the alcohol clouding his mind, or maybe because of it, he feels betrayed and lied to. All this time, he had thought it was just him and he would have to quietly suffer this hell alone, all this time and Julius never once reassured him...

"How could you?" He chokes out and his voice cracks which only further upsets him. "It's already too late for me to have a normal relationship, why do you think nothing ever works out? Nothing about our life has ever been normal, I don't  want normal," he doesn't mean to, but he's practically shouting. Everything hurts. "I want you!"

With a weak, shuddering breath of something like an apology he draws Ludger close into a tight hug. Everything is always his own fault, he thinks, so why even bother for normalcy.

He pulls apart from him for only a moment before he closes the distance again, kissing his lips deeply.

He's not entirely sure how to wrap his mind around all of this but he doesn't particularly care. Whatever Julius' reasons, he doesn't care. He has his arms wrapped around him, his hands curled around Julius' shirt as he kisses him desperately. He's wanted this for so long, fantasized about this for so long and he doesn't want Julius to pull away and to tell him they've made a mistake but in the back of his mind he's almost certain he will.

It aches how much he's always wanted this. Always blamed himself for feeling this way. Always dismissed him like it didn't kill him to do so each time. Those emotions are poured into his kiss and he draws him yet closer, not willing to face what he knows he should. Maybe it doesn't matter after all, he thinks, as long as he can be with him.

Ludger is afraid to pull away, in case Julius changes his mind, but he also wants him, needs him urgently in his bed so he gently nudges him towards his room, kissing him all the while.

Of course, it leads to this. There's no saying what they'd become once they'd been intimate together. He breaks the kiss, both to breathe and to ask him.

"...Are you certain?" He knows even drunk, Ludger will be honest. "There's no taking back what I want to do to you."

The words cause his face to flush deeply red, and for a moment his mind is occupied only by that train of thought, and by the fact that they will likely be doing just that in just a few moments.

"Yes," he says, and he wants to say so many things, that he's never been more sure of something in his entire life, but he isn't entirely sure how to properly articulate that, especially not with how hazy his mind feels, and how Julius' words had only made the feeling worse.

He smiles faintly, tracing his cheek with his index finger with care. Ludger is so cute. It makes him want to wreck him. He pulls him into his own room instead, fingers laced with his as they walk. He's loathe to pull their hands apart.
