"Right, time to grow." He teases.

"It's true, though. I'm a freak." He shrugs, with a grin on his lips still too, after he finally releases him. They walk into the parking lot and he presses the unlock key maybe a few times more than he needs to. Habit.

Ludger trails behind him, and he tries to tell himself it's because Julius just walks faster than him and not because he's staring at his ass. At this point, he's used to all of Julius' strange habits and just accepts them as the norm.

"You know..." Ludger says, and he knows he shouldn't still be on this subject, but he is. "You're almost thirty, have you really never thought about settling down with someone and...starting a family?"

The thought hurts to even voice but the curiosity is more than he can bear. Somewhere, deep down he knows he just wants to be reassured that maybe, just maybe he still has a chance with him, as twisted and gross as that may be.

"You're still on that?" He asks, lifting a brow and only sort of turning to look to him. "I told you I'm not interested in anyone. If I wanted a family, I would have tried by now." He chuckles at the idea. Children were never his forte. Ludger at twelve was hard enough, actual children was impossible.

It didn't help that he was in love with Ludger. Not at all.

"I know, but..." he doesn't press the issue as much as he desperately wants to. Now isn't the ideal time or place to do so.

He shrugs and drops the subject,

"I guess the simple answer is no, I don't want kids." He explains, flatly as ever. "I have over 150 I have to deal with daily, anyways. Not to mention you." He teases.

"What, was I really such a bad kid?" He teases back but there's a hint of sincerity in his voice. Maybe he was the reason Julius didn't want to settle down and have kids? And not in the way Ludger so desperately wanted to be the reason.

"No, no." He laughs. "You were too good a kid. Anything less than you would be annoying." He's not lying about this much, at least.

He smiles, oddly proud of Julius praising him even for such a mundane thing.

"So," he says and he knows Julius must be sick of this conversation by now but it's killing him to know. "...were you and Rideaux..."

"God, no. He once kissed me. I held him in a headlock for an hour until he repented." That was also the truth. "I will never understand him, and frankly, I'd like to keep it that way."

Ludger sighs somewhat dreamily at the thought. He really, truly despised that gross man, always making eyes at his Julius. Although, maybe Rideaux felt the same way...

"Have you ever..." Ludger pursed his lips and then decided against it and trailed off into silence.

"Not with him." He says firmly. "...I have, yes, but not with him." He avoids eye contact. It shouldn't feel as odd as it does to tell Ludger he's had sex before, but it certainly does. That was par for the course with circumstances like theirs, though.

Ludger should stop, this is awkward enough as it is but it's not often he manages to get Julius to open up about this sort of thing.

"Did you...enjoy it?" He asks, and he glances at his brother to make sure he's not crossing that invisible line they've set for each other.

"...I suppose." He furrows his brow at him. He's not so foolish that this isn't completely transparent, but all the same... he allows it to happen anyways. "It is kind of the point of it." He crams a hand into his pocket to distract himself by checking his watch.

Ludger bites his lip, horribly conflicted. He wants to know what Julius likes in bed, what makes him squirm and what makes him moan. But that's most certainly over the line. Ludger has never had sex, not yet, but he's come close twice. Neither person had been okay with him moaning his brother's name and subsequently never talked to him ever again.

Ludger sighs and lapses into awkward silence.

"Anyways. I'm grateful for your help at work. I keep digging my own grave and handing out too much work, but I'm worried the topics won't stick for them." He quickly changes the subject back to something less distasteful and easily inappropriate; master of avoiding tough topics. They approach the restaurant, and he holds the door open for Ludger.

"Come on. You tackle basically half the work. That's a hell of a lot more than the girl who was my T.A. two years ago. She watched shit on her phone and ate at the desk. I'm grateful to you, honestly." He grins to him. "Never bought her lunch." He notes.

Ludger flushes red slightly but he's more than grateful for the compliment. It feels like all he does is stare dreamily at his brother even when he should be grading papers. He takes a seat across from Julius in their usual seats, back in the corner where Julius can have his back to the wall and see the whole restaurant.

"Aren't I special?" He teases him but he's more than aware.

"Nepotism pays off sometimes, doesn't it?" He smirks at Ludger, reclining in his chair. "My treat, like I said. But if you make me go bankrupt, I'll pile-drive you."

"All the time," Ludger grins at him.

He knows Julius' legs are just a few inches away, just begging to be brushed up against...he leans back in his chair and does just that, refusing to look at him for the moment he does it.

"No promises," he says with a slight shrug and a smirk, casually as ever. Real smooth.

Heh. He'd like it, wouldn't he? That much is confirmed in his mind when Ludger rubs his leg. If it were anyone else he would know it was a mistake, but it's not just anyone else. It's Ludger. He does nothing, but he also doesn't move his leg aside.

"You better promise. I won't even help you back up."

"I can take care of myself," he replies and he thinks his voice might shake just a twinge because he's certainly more focused on Julius' legs against his than anything else. He hasn't moved yet, and that in and of itself is a welcome surprise.

Ludger flushes slightly in indignation.

"I haven't cried in years," he argues, pouting slightly. The last time had had cried was, well, after Nova rejected him, but before that it had been...Julius who rejected him. "Besides, it was your fault..." he knows it isn't fair to bring it up, but if Julius wanted to win the argument it would mean acknowledging it and that alone would be enough satisfaction for Ludger.

"It's always my fault." He says, softly, resting his chin on his palm. "I'm good at that." He mutters, crossing his legs over under the table.
